Yahoo! Finance gives free stock quotes, up to date news, portfolio management resources, international market data, message boards, and mortgage rates to help investors manage their finances.
Stock Charts.com lets an investor create financial charts. Its Scan Engine shows investing opportunities. Their Chart School is full of easy-to-read educational articles. Their Technical Analysts guide investors through the markets.

Photography Links
photo.net is an online community with more than 100,000 active members and a lot more casual visitors. It started in 1993 and strives to be the best peer-to-peer educational system for people who wish to become better photographers.
I'm sure there are many other very good resource sites, but I haven't discovered them yet. If you know of sites that I should use and include here, I would be grateful for suggestions.

A comment about each of the Surgeon Generals' reports on smoking:
1964 - Smoking and Health - Pipe smokers live an average of 2 years longer than non-smokers! (p.85)
2006 - The Health Consequences of Involuntary Exposure to Tobacco Smoke - "...the authors of this Surgeon General’s report used this methodology to summarize the available data when deemed appropriate and useful, even while recognizing that the uncertainty around the meta-analytic estimates may exceed the uncertainty indicated by conventional statistical indices...." (p. 17) Translation: "the statistical method we used is no good, but we could get the results we wanted by doing it this way."
